The secret to good work… How often are you conversing?

You are both excited and dreading going to your work’s spring social.

You can't wait to go to your new local running club but also quite sure you are going to cancel last minute?

This post shows my take on how to feel more comfortable and effective in social situations.

Since writing it, I would say I am about 65% extrovert and 35% introvert.

I do believe that having solid physical and spiritual health is critical.

As important, and arguably more, is the practice of connecting with people.

Covid gave me the freedom to embrace healthy routines.

The flip side is those routines fostered rigidity and flexibility.

My favorite way to mix things up is working with friends or a community-based coworking space.

Worksimply was the best coworking experience I have been to.

I had the chance to meet many people while trying out a new restaurant, what a great idea!

I strive to get a lot done during the day.

I often forget that my enjoyment and success depend on communication with others.

There is no better way to connect than in person.

Meeting new connections or growing established relationships helps me flourish.

My best weeks consist of a healthy mix of;

  1. Flow work - uninterrupted, can be in isolation,

  2. Distractable work - the opportunity to be around others,

  3. Reflection and contemplation - a mix of both that can involve discussion with others.

At our coliving in September, you will have the opportunity to stay accountable to these 3 states.

On Sunday evenings we plan our goals & habits with our accountability partner.

We have 2 90 minute group uninterrupted focus sessions throughout the day to help get the flow work done.

In the other pockets of the day, we spend time doing distractable work. This can be emailing someone and is a good time to join a mastermind that someone is leading.

Each morning there is optional group meditation. On Friday evening we have a 24-hour digital detox. This is to practice reflection and contemplation.

In the evenings and weekends, we kayak in the lake and explore the trails. On Sunday we enjoy brunch together.
