Egg Inspired Minimalistic Goal setting…Break your Shell

Not again…

A flake the size of sea salt dives into the egg in the pan.

Trying to pick it up or hold onto it is what goal setting can feel like to me at times.

How to change that?

Follow a minimalistic goal setting method.

Do you actually care?

If you don’t, you likely won’t be resilient enough to keep going.

At times we have obligations and need to go after them regardless, so…

Change your perspective.

What will accomplishing the goal afford you?

It could be the ability to get to a place where you can have more freedom or support a loved one.

Is it possible?

One slippery part about goal setting is motivating yourself, while being realistic.

You have to set it out of your comfort zone while also making sure it is possible.

So, set 2 - a target and minimum.

A date or hitting a number can form the basis for this.

I want to finish an album by October, if not, December.

Or I want my business to grow by 40% or 60% by the end of Year.

Is it quantifiable?

The only thing you can control is your actions.

Not the results.

So, if you want to grow your business and what moves the needle is making calls…

You need to calculate your numbers to understand how to reach your target.

Let’s say it’s 20 calls a day.

If you stick to it… even if you don’t hit the goal…

You will have build the skills necessary to do it next time.

It could be you only grew 35%, but with tenacity and grit, karma comes back around…

It could be next quarter you grow 80%.
